Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan met the children suffering from cancer in his childhood. The actor met these children at his residence who would be participating in the World Children's Winners' Games 2018 in Moscow.
Shahrukh, 52, invited these children to wish him for the upcoming championship. Shah Rukh's IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mir Foundation, is also providing jerseys and kits for these children to the tournament. Shahrukh founded the Mir Foundation in memory of his father who was suffering from cancer.
In a statement, Shahrukh said, "Each of the children I met today has been a winner in each of them. It was very nice to meet these kids and I wish all these not just for sports in Russia but for everything in their life. "
He said, "I learned a lot from them today, they are the sources of inspiration and represent the game spirit in the real sense." Impact Foundation is also a part of the initiative to support these children in Tata Memorial Hospital. These kids will participate in games like chess, football, table tennis, swimming and shooting.
Every year 9 ... 10 children are sent for this competition. There is also a parent with every child. Along with this there are also doctors and social workers with children. The five-day program starts tomorrow.
